Recreate the viral “icy eyes” trend in 5 easy steps

What’s the “icy eyes” trend? It is basically that winter/snow makeup look you’re seeing everywhere, on TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and all over social media. And let’s be honest it rightly everywhere during the cold season since it matches the vibe.

I created this look using three different colors: a dark brown, a lighter brown and white eye shadow. It is pretty easy to create.

Yes, you read that right! Whether you’re a beginner or a makeup pro, you just need the right tools and techniques to recreate this gorgeous winter makeup look. How to do that? Well, let’s get right into it!

Step 1 – Use the earth colors

Take the darker brown color using a fluffy brush and apply it in your crease, that is the outer corner of your eye. Apply it in circular motion on the crease and above the eye lid. Don’t go hard on the outer part of your eye with the darker shade. What you want to do is get a bit of the lighter brown shade and apply it in the outer side of your eye, above the first shade in order to blend the color better and give the look the shades it needs.

Step 2 – transition shade

Next, use another fluffy brush for the ligter brown shade. It should be a bit smaller than the first one in order to apply the shade on the lid, starting from the outer side to the center. This color should be a few shades lighter than the brown you applied first.

Step 3 – Use a white eyeshadow for icy eyes

Once you are done with the second shade, use a flat brush to apply some concealer in the inner corner of the lid going to the center. Tip: I use a q-tip to clean the lid with micellar water before applying the concealer for a cleaner look. Once that is done, use a clean flat brush to apply the white shade in the inner lid for that beautiful frosty look.

Step 4 – Glitter it up

Don’t forget to finish your eye look by putting the same brown eyeshadow in your lower lid, near the lash line. You can use the small fluffy brush to diffuse the eye shadow and create the right shade. You can use your favorite glittery white eyeshadow on top of the white shade to enhance the look. As long as you like it, there’s no reason to exclude it!

Step 5 – Add the details

Apply your favorite eyeliner and lashes for a finished look. Tip: use some highlighter in the inner corner of the eye for more brightness and shine.

That’s it girl! The “icy eyes” is a timeless makeup look you can use this look for any case. And if you didn’t get it right the first time, there’s no reason to worry! The more you practice the better you become! That’s how I created this look 😉

What do you think about it? What’s the next eye makeup I should create?
